Yes, we have a flexible enrolment policy, so you can join even if the term has already started. You should never need to wait for a chance to dance!

We offer ballet and jazz dance lessons for children aged 2-8. These classes include our Baby Ballerinas, Tutus and Tiaras, Jazz n’ Groove, Junior Jazz, Pre-Primary and Primary ballet classes.
Absolutely, like anything the more you do it the better you get! Many of our children love to come to two ballet classes or a ballet and jazz class to get the best of both worlds.
Our dances classes are all very different, but ultimately, include a warm-up, exercises for fine and gross motor skills, co-ordination and postural awareness and usually include small routines all set in a magical story that captures the attention of the children. Our story and narrative changes each week. What makes our classes different is the imaginative experience, the emphasis on creativity, the relationship between each student and their teacher along with the inspiring music and use of props. No two classes are the same, every class is tailored to that group of children and both their long term needs and their needs on that particular day.
Because we place a significant priority on small class sizes and really get to know each child and family we do ask for a term commitment. Ballet classes have many amazing benefits including correcting posture and increasing co-ordination, helping children develop new friendships and build their confidence and independence. But you only get out what you put in, so coming consistently to ballet classes will be when you see results.
We do encourage all of our students to wear our uniform in order to create a sense of belonging in our community so that all our children feel equal no-one is wearing anything ‘better’ than anyone else and ultimately everyone is in safe attire to dance.
Yes, we hold a wonderful production at the end of the year at Seaforth Dance Academy. However, with that being said it is a very age-appropriate production – we don’t encourage our babies to wear makeup and there are no expensive costumes – our show is about the dancing, about the students and about the wonderful effort all the kids have put in throughout the year.
Our environment is very nurturing which is a big priority in our academy. We are a close community who really value our sense of family. We like to feel like our academy has a sense of occasion, the children often dress up and take real pride in attending their classes which is really special to see.
In terms of nerves, this is absolutely natural. We often tell families that just like starting a new primary school or a new job is always a little daunting at first, but we make every effort possible to make these little people and their families feel welcome. Our parents and students often settle in and start making long-lasting friendships quickly.
However, every child is different and it is our role to meet each child where they are at and just support them to have the best possible experience with us.
